Cairo International Book Fair with Its 54th Edition is Back Again

To all bookworms in Egypt, we have great news for you.

Cairo International Book Fair is back with its 54th edition from 25th January to 6th February at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo.

The opening of the book fair will be on the 25th of January. Then, it will be available to all attendees starting from the 26th of January. And according to the Higher Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair, Jordan will be an honored guest at the fair for 2023.

The opening hours for the book fair are from 10 am to 8 pm except on Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 9 pm. Tickets cost 5 L.E. and are available online via the book fair link or indoors.

This year, the slogan of the book fair is “Egypt Identity: Culture and Question of the Future .” The book fair with numerous Egyptian, Arab, and Foreign publishing houses in addition to many institutions and official sectors. That means you will likely find many books in all genres and languages. 

The character of the book fair this year will be the Egyptian poet Salah Jahin. The Higher Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair announced that Salah Jahin’s complete poetic works will be printed. The character of the Children Fair will stand for the Egyptian writer, the pioneer of children’s literature in Egypt, and the Arab World, Kamel Kilani.

The Higher Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair decided this year to encourage buying tickets online instead of paying them indoors by providing a discount on online payments. This decision will encourage people to reduce using paper and be environmentally friendly.

This event is the oldest book fair in the Arab World and attracts everyone across Egypt for two weeks. Stay tuned for many surprises this year.
