Tutankhamun Opera in Hatshepsut Temple
Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass announced that the Tutankhamun Opera will perform on the 3rd and 4th of March in front of Queen Hatshepust’s Temple in Luxor.
He announced this news on Friday during the main lecture of the scientific conference to review the latest research about King Tutankhamun and his tombs. At this conference, the experts gave lectures on various topics about King Tutankhamun’s life and death.
Zahi Hawas clarifies that Tutankhamun Opera will be “a great surprise to world audiences, and it is an attempt to tell the story of the king appealingly.”
He also mentioned that the opera recounts the conflict between Egypt and the Kushites at that time.
According to Hawas, the opera is written in English and is translated into Italian. All the involved orchestra, actors, and musicians are from Italy, and many Egyptians will be recruiting to the cast soon.
